AUSSIE CURL POWER

I worked with Devries Global as a creative writer to create comic book characters and stories for the Aussie Hair #CurlPower Campaign. My job was to develop five comic book sheroes based on two actresses and three influencers in the campaign.

I video-interviewed the five ladies individually and created their shero names, powers, comic book scripts, and origin stories based on our conversations and their passions. The characters were Radiant Star (Daniella Perkins), Vibe Queen (Leah Allyannah), Wave Warrior (Isabella Revel), Dream Defender (Jasmine Brown), and Lioness (India Batson).

The #CurlPower campaign has appeared all over social media, magazines, and billboards in Downtown LA. It was a very interactive booth at BeautyCon LA and printed on merchandise for promotion. The real-life sheroes did a meet & greet at BeautyCon LA to promote the campaign and their comic book character. Fans of the #CurlPower sheroes could also take a quiz online to find out which character they matched with the most based on the stories.
