I'm Nubia Mejia, a creative writer, dog mom, and overall awesome human being.

I WAS BORN TO WRITE AND TELL STORIES.

 

In the 4th grade, my teacher accused me of plagiarizing a story I wrote because she didn't believe I could come up with something "that good," I took her comment as a compliment — and a calling.

​

By age 14, I performed poetry at open mics such as the Bowery Poetry Club and Nuyorican Poets Cafe, stage fright be damned! After that, it's a whirlwind, but I'm happy to report I've been a professional writer for over 10+ years! Pretty cool, yeah?

From a variety of print or digital writing assignments such as packaging, in-store poster, shelves, websites, social, blogs, scripts, and then some — I've gotten to work for some pretty cool brands in different capacities: DevaCurl, Bumble and bumble, Aussie, Aveda, Milk Studios, Diet Coke, Mac Cosmetics, American Express, Smart Water, Lexus, Macy's, and more.

MY PERSONAL TIME, YOU ASK? 

 

When I'm not ideating, writing, editing, rewriting, crumbling paper, pressing delete, playing with fidget toys, and submitting projects, you can find me on my couch with my dog and a novel, walking over to a cool cafe, looking up recipes, or watching scary movies.
